Sonos IPO Opening
ART DIRECTION | CREATIVE CONCEPTION
2019 Cannes Lion Bronze | 2019 D&AD Graphite Pencil Award Winner | Fast Company ad of the week
When Sonos held their initial public offering at Nasdaq in Times Square, they wanted to bring sound into their announcement to the public. We started working with Sonos to tell a compelling story about sound: Redesigning the opening & closing bell at Nasdaq.
Academy-award winning sound engineer and longtime Sonos collaborator Chris Jenkins and his team reimagined the sound of the bell as a journey through history. We captured the process of creating the bell sound from over 115 individual sounds and brought the process to life with a fun, stylized narrative on creating sound.
The work got a lot of press, including the wall street journal and a 55 screens Times square product take over gathering 4.7 billion media impressions. Stock price of Sonos grew 30% in the first day of trading only.
TIMES SQUARE TAKEOVER
We also did a massive 13 locations - 55 screens Times Square takeover, introducing The Home Sound System value prop to New York City as if our audience knew nothing about the product. Having minimal product visuals really helped us stand out, using our iconic animation to tell that story.
All animation and product was built in CGI, I supervised the making of all the assets and the visual creative direction.
